one , subsidiary of the group National Express train, is the trade mark of the company London Eastern Railway Ltd. which exploits the local, suburban services and express train at the beginning of the Gare of Liverpool Street in the City of London towards the areas of the East London, of the Essex and the East Anglia. This network is also known under the name of Greater Anglia.

The network Greater Anglia was allotted to only one owner within the framework of a policy of reduction of the number of concessions and number of owners in the large terminals in order to improve integration of the services and their reliability. April 1st 2004, one dealt with all the services previously exploited by Anglia Railways and First Great Eastern, like those of the network West Anglia of WAGN. This company is from now on only the owner travellers of the majority of the trains of the Great Eastern Main Line.

Services

In spite of the choice of the mark one intended to underline the meeting and the integration of services raising previously of four different organizations, the company temporarily preserved the name of the old networks in order to facilitate the transition from very known names towards new name:
  • one Anglia - fast services towards Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich and buildings in the Suffolk and the Norfolk. The lines concerned are the following ones:

    • Bittern Line (Norwich - Cromer - Sheringham)
    • Breckland Line (Norwich - Ely (continuing towards Cambridge))
    • East Suffolk Line (Ipswich - Lowestoft)
    • Ely to Peterborough Line (Ely - Peterborough)
    • Felixstowe Branch Line (Ipswich - Felixstowe)
    • Ipswich to Ely Line (Ipswich - Bury St Edmunds, continuing towards Ely/Newmarket - Cambridge)
    • Wherry Lines (Norwich - Great Yarmouth/Lowestoft)
  • one Great Eastern - services of broad outline towards Chelmsford, Colchester, Ipswich and Clacton.

    • Mainline “subway” service towards Shenfield
    • Upminster Branch Line (Romford - Upminster)
    • Shenfield to Southend Line (Shenfield - Southend-one-Sea Southend Victoria)
    • Crouch Valley Line (Shenfield - Wickford - Southminster)
    • Braintree Branch Line (Witham - Braintree)
    • Sudbury Branch Line (Marks Tey - Sudbury)
    • Colchester to Clacton Line (Colchester - Clacton or Walton-one-tea-Naze)
    • Mayflower Line (Manningtree - Harwich)

However, these sub-brands were largely abandoned to avoid any confusion and all the services from now on are simply marked one , except for the Stansted Express.

Rolling stock

The company uses a park including/understanding of the oars diesel Classe 153, Classe 156 and Classe 170 for the local lines, of the electric oars Classe 315, Classe 317, Classe 321 and Classe 360 for the principal lines of suburbs as well as Locomotive S Classe 90 for the fast services, reinforced by some engines Classe 47 rented in partnership with Cotswold Rail.
