The Škoda Holding is the heiress of the inheritance and of the name of the factories Škoda (in Czech, Škodovy závody ) was one of the more industrial large company of the Austria-Hungary and then of the Czechoslovakia, one of the states which succeeded to him. It was one of the largest conglomerate of Europe at the 20th century.

History

The metallurgical company was created with Plzeň in 1859 by the count Valdštejn before being repurchased in 1899 by Emil Škoda, chief engineer of the factory.

Production

Since its origin, this firm produced Navire, Armes, Tanks, buses and Voitures (Škoda Auto) through its multiple subsidiary companies.
