Ştefan VIII

Etienne or Ştefan VIII Răzvan prince de Moldavie in 1595.

It is a soldier of fortune which served in France in the armies of the king Henri IV then in the Polish army. He claims to be an illegitimate son of Pierre V Şchiopul but obtains the throne of Moldavie in May 1595 thanks to the support of Sigismond Ier Bathory prince de Transylvanie.

Combined Mihai Viteazul in its combat against Turkish it is attacked by Polish who substitutes to him as prince their vassal Ieremia Movilă in August 1595. It returns with 2.000 men provided by his Transylvanian suzerain, tries to regain the capacity, but it is beaten by its rival who makes it impale.
