Ştefan II Cantacuzino
Ştefan Cantacuzino 1675 - 1716, is prince de Valachie of 1714 with 1716.
Wire of Constantin Cantacuzeno Large Stolnic, known as the Historian, nephew of the prince Şerban {{Ier}} Cantacuzino and first cousin of Constantin {{II}} Brâncoveanu of which it contributes to the fall. It is named prince de Valachie by the Sublime Door after the arrest of this last in 1714 but it itself is relieved, stopped, with his wife, her two Radu sons and Constantin and his father the January 13rd 1716 then led to Istanbul where it is immediately imprisoned.
After to be stripped their goods and to be tortured Ştefan Cantacuzino and his/her Constantin father are finally strangled the June 24th 1716 in their dungeon by order of the Turkish Sultan. The death of the prince and his replacement by the Greek Nicolae {{III}} Mavrocordat opens the era of the reign of the princes Phanariotes on the Valachie.
