In the Greek Mythology, Œnomaos , wire of Ares and Pleiad Astérope (or of Harpine according to the authors), is king of Pisa in Élide.
It had decided to grant the hand of his daughter Hippodamie to whoever would be able to beat it in a race of tanks; many competitors were thus put at died by the always victorious king, who went up on a tank whose unbeatable horses had been given to him by his/her father. Only Pélops, with the assistance of Myrtilos, succeeds in overcoming by trick the king, whose tank broke and who died trailed by his horses.
This race of tank was one of the mythological origins of the Olympic Games for the old Greek .
