Œagre
In the Greek Mythology, Œagre , wire of Ares (or Charops according to Diodore), is king of Thrace.
He generally passes for the father of Orphée and Linos, designed with MUSE Calliope. Hygin () makes of it also the father of Marsyas by Hyagnis.
According to Nonnos, it accompanies Dionysos with the the Indies. Diodore reports as for him that it is initiated by his father with the mysteries of Dionysos, and that it transmits them to his Orphée son.
