Đorđe Protić
Đorđe Protić , in Serbe Cyrillique ЂорђеПротић (born with Bleated Crkva close to Krupanj in 1793 - died with Belgrade the December 7th 1857) was a Serb Politician . He was Minister and representative of the Prince, at one moment when the Serbia was an autonomous principality inside the Ottoman Empire.
Under the reign of the prince Miloš Ier Obrenović, Đorđe Protić worked with the legal questions until in 1829.
In 1835, it was during a few months member of the Council, then president of the Court of justice of Belgrade.
Starting from 1837, he was member of the charged commission of the preparation of the laws.
May 15th 1840 with the September 7th 1842, he was the Representative of the prince Michel III Obrenović, the equivalent of a Prime Minister.
But in 1842, prince Michel was reversed by a rebellion led by Toma Vučić-Perišić, one of the chiefs of the " Defenders of Constitution". The favor of this rebellion, the family of the Karađorđević reached the capacity in the person of the prince Alexandre. Faithful to the Obrenović, Đorđe Protić had to leave Serbia.
He lived in exile of 1842 with 1857.
