Čukarica
Čukarica , in Serb Cyrillic Чукарица, is a municipality of Serbia. It belongs to the 17 municipalities which constitute the district of Belgrade and it is one of the 10 urban municipalities which compose the town of Belgrade itself. In 2002, it counted 168.508 inhabitants.
Čukarica is completely surrounded by the other municipalities of Belgrade: it is bordered by the Save in the West, by the municipalities of Savski Venac in North and the North-East, of Rakovica in the East, Voždovac in South-east, Barajevo in the South and Obrenovac in South-west.
The municipality is located at the South-west of the center town of Belgrade. It includes/understands the wood of Makiš, on the edges of the Save, and the largest island of Belgrade, Ada Ciganlija.
