The Ülker Istanbul was a Turkish club of Basket-ball based with Istanbul, founded in 1993 by the company of sugar refineries and chocolate factories Ülker. With its important budget, the club quickly forges a great prize list in Turkey what enables him to play the Euroligue. End 2006, haloed of one 4th championship, the Ülker group decides nevertheless to file for bankruptcy of the club, whereas there is no money problem. The group finally decided to become majority shareholder of the section basketball of the Fenerbahçe SK, the new entity being then " Fenerbahçe Ülkerspor " as from the season 2006-2007.
