Özen Yula is a Turkish writer , was born the September 7th 1965 with Eskisehir.
Biography
It passed its childhood to
Gaziantep, city in the south-east of the
Turkey. It finished the college in Oregon (
the United States). Laid off in Economic scenes of the University of Hacettepe, it made its master Theatrical Studies at the University of
Ankara. Initially the author of news, Yula is today one of the most important playwrights of the Turkish contemporary theater. Its dramaturgy often puts in relation or confrontation of the topics like the lointain/le near, to remain/leave, traditional the current one, the lie of the official stories the fictitious version of a history. The majority of its parts were put in scene in the national theaters or deprived, some were translated into English, German, Finnish, Japanese, Russian, Polish and turned in the countries like the
Germany, the
Austria, the
England, the
Netherlands, the
Japan and the
Egypt. Its first part Ay Tedirginligi (Disorder of the Moon) was represented with Biennial of
Bonn and the Festival “kontext: Europa” in Vienna.
to rent , part written in
2002, was translated into French with a critical edition within the framework of a Control of Theatrical Studies at the University of the Sorbonne Nouvelle. A setting in reading of the same part was carried out in Schaubühne amndt Lehniner Platz with
Berlin in March
2006.
