Özbeg
Özbeg (Turkish öz : authenticate + beg : lord), Mongolian prince of the Horde of Gold born in 1282 and which reigned of 1312 to its death in 1341.
Wire of prince Tougril and small son of the Khan Mengü Temür it succeeded his uncle Toqtaï. Converted to the Islam under the name of Ghiyas ED-DIN Mohammed , it applied the usual religious tolerance among Mongols. His/her Kontchaka sister, baptized under the name of Agafia, married in 1317 the Russian prince Iouri III Moskovski.
The people of the dynasty relationship of the Chaybanides adopted his name and were thus known under the name of Uzbek.
