Öser

Öser also written Woeser , or Weise in Chinese, of his complete name: Tsering Woeser (born in 1966) is a poetess and essay writer Tibetan.

Biography

It had been born with Lhassa where his/her father was soldier in the Army of Release of the People; when it was child, its family was rehoused in the Kham. In 1988, it is graduate South-western University for Nationalities (i.e, minorities) with Chengdu in Chinese Littérature. She worked as journalist with Kardzé and later in Lhassa and lived Beijing since 2003 following political problems. To dare is married Wang Lixiong, a Chinese author who frequently writes on the Tibet. Öser is the author of the book, " Notes on Tibet". According to the Tibet Information Network (CHOCK), its book was prohibited by the Chinese government in September 2003.

According to UNPO, shortly after the interdition, Oser lost its work and its statute. According to Radio Free Asia, the July 28th 2006, its two blogs were closed by order of the government, apparently in answer to the stations in which it expressed its wishes at the time of the birthday of the Dalaï Lama. According to Reporters without borders, both blogs of Öser were closed at the request of the Chinese authorities whereas a wave of censure denounced by struck the Chinese Internet. Öser published tests there on the culture Tibetan, as of the articles of Wang Lixiong whose forum was also closed.
