Évron is a common French, located in the department of the Mayenne and the area Pays of the Loire.
a first Monastère was built at the 7th century then destroyed by the Normands. The Abbaye restored in 981 was prestigious and its size attracted many pilgrims. The city was invaded by the English in 1418, plundered by the calvinist S in 1577. Fortifications were built at the 18th century.
Guillaume the Sharecropper says Rochambeau (1763 - 1798), chouan chief of Mayenne was one from the five to six authors of the petition which they presented to the directory of the district of Evron protesting against the decree for the distance of the priests.
It is also in Evron that one of the largest slaughter-house of pig of the west is present (approximately 28000 pigs killed per week) for the mark " Valtéro".
