Thereafter, to the 12th century, the name Episcopus Mons , the episcopal mount, is given to this place where a priory of monks Bénédictin S was established, concerned with the abbey of Fécamp. The chorus, the apse and the bell-tower of the church Our-Lady-with-the Assomption date from the 13th century. The porch of entry of the church dates, as for him, of the 16th century.
The currency of the commune is Originum wild, traditionum fidissimi (Intrepid by nature, very faithful by tradition) .
The two principal streets of the village are the street of Adhémar and the street of Chollet. The count Jean-Balthazar d' Adhémar, who had acquired the seigniories of Thun and Evecquemont in 1782, leased the castle of Evecquemont to his wife in November 1789. The street of Adhémar owes its name with the countess of Adhémar, born Gabrielle Pauline Bouthillier de Chavigny, which lived the revolutionary years with the castle of Evecquemont, and made gift of the pastures of the plate of Hautil to the commune, donation confirmed in 1830 by his/her niece Madam de Chollet.
