Étolie
Geography
The Étolie is an area of the center of the Greece, limited to the West by the Acarnanie, to the south by the gulf of Corinthe and to North by mountains. It is plain today in Acarnanie in names Étolie-Acarnanie.
In the Antiquity, the most famous city, was Calydon, close to the coast.
The littoral of this area marshy and is deprived of port, so that the history of Étolie was that of a terrestrial power.
