Eringes is a charming populated small village mainly of peasants. In spite of that, the first people who lived Eringes were… monks of the Abbey of Fontenay! For more information, my knowledge is not large enough…

Eringes preserved some turns of enclosure dating from the Middle Ages, I think. Eringes has also charming a small church, although it deserves some restorations now. (programmed in 2007)
