Érik Orsenna

Érik Orsenna , of its true name Érik Arnoult , is Romance cier and French academician, born the March 22nd 1947 with Paris.

Career

After studies of philosophy, political sciences, and especially of economy, he becomes researcher and teaching, in the field of international finance and the economy of the development (Université of Paris I, National university, London School off Economics). He becomes adviser with the ministry for the co-operation, in 1981. After having been to advise cultural of François Mitterrand of 1983 with 1984, it is named Maître of the requests to the Council of State in December 1985, then to advise State in July 2000 (it is currently in Disponibilité of this institution). He is member of the High council of the Francophonie. In 2002, he is member of the board of trustees of the canal+ group, and he is currently member of the board of trustees of Telfrance (since December 2004). He is member of the French Academy where he occupies the 17th armchair since 1998.

He received the Prix Goncourt in 1988 for the colonial exposure .

Since October 2007, he is member of the Board of directors of the National university, indicated be qualities on a proposal from the Foreign Minister and European.
