In 1884, Camille Pissarro settles there. It will live there until its death with Paris in 1903. One owes him of very beautiful impressionist works and pointillists of which “the Pre one in Eragny” (1894) and “Sun of Spring in the pre one in Eragny” (1887)
Besides one calls these years in the life of the painter the “Period of Eragny”
In 1894 his/her son Lucien will call his publisher Eragny Close in homage to this city.
