Équeurdreville-Hainneville
Équeurdreville-Hainneville is a common department of the Manche, in the area Basse-Normandie, in France. Gentilés the Équeurdrevillais and Hainnevillais perdurent in spite of the fusion of the two communes, even if this last tends to disappear little by little, to the profit of Équeurdrevillais .
Geography
Équeurdeville-Hainneville is located at the north of the Cotentin, in the department of the Manche. It is joint of Cherbourg-Octeville, which it borders on its west coast. It is the main door of the La Hague.
History
January 1st, 1965, Équeurdreville and Hainneville amalgamate, becoming a commune of 12.000 inhabitants approximately.

- War memorial the : Équeurdreville-Hainneville is one of the rare cities to accommodate a pacifist war memorial. Indeed, instead of “Died for the fatherland”, it is written there “That cursed is the war”. The monument was carved by Emilie Rolez at the request of the mayor of then, Hippolyte Mars.
