In the Greek Mythology, Épiméthée (in Greek old Ἐπιμηθεύς / Epimêtheús , “which reflects afterwards”) is a Titan, wire of Japet and THEMIS (or Clymène), and brother of Atlas, Ménœtios and Prométhée.

Prométhée (“the Far-sighted one”) understands that there is danger to accept one present of the gods. He informs of it his Épiméthée brother, who accepts despite everything Pandore that Hermes offers to him and marries it. This one is the first mortal and has many qualities (its name means “all the gifts”). But Hermes puts in its heart cheating and an earthenware jar or a box entrusts to him containing all the evils of the ground. Pandora, devoured curiosity, opens the box and delivers all the evils which are spread then for the first time on ground. See the article Pandora for the significance of this Myth. After this disaster, Épiméthée and Pandore generate Pyrrha, which marries Deucalion later (the survivor of the Déluge).
