The Éperluette term is an alternative of the C-W communication “Esperluette” or “éperluète”, sometimes also “Perluète” which indicates the typographical character & regarded as “and commercial”. This character is originally the graphic contraction of the characters E and T handwritten.

The idea of association suggested by this term gave birth, in 1996 with a book éponyme published by the Workshop of writing of the College Chabrières Park, in which the various texts were associated with works of artists plastics technicians of the region of Lion.
