Épanorthose
The épanorthose is a figure rhetoric which consists in returning on what one has just affirmed, either to moderate it, weaken it and even to retract it, or on the contrary to re-expose it with more energy. Its model is: " what do I say a course? it is a péninsule" for a épanorthose in gradation.
