Élisa Schlésinger
Élisa Schlésinger (1810-1888), born Foucault, is the wife of Maurice Schlesinger, editor of music. It was the object of a deep passion on behalf of Gustave Flaubert. Their first meeting took place with Trouville-on-Sea in the summer 1836, Flaubert had 15 years and Elisa 26 years. She is already married, her husband is then director of the Gazette and musical review of Paris . It becomes widowed in May 1871.
