Éliphas (bishop)

Éliphas or Elephant or Alphant or Alphons , 14th bishop of Uzès, episcopate in 842. We quote only for memory:

  1. Gerald which, following Catel and Misters of Holy-Marthe, would have assisted, in 804, as bishop of Uzès to the dedication of the furnace bridge of Saint-Saver of Aniane;
  2. Aribald , whose existence is also very problematic, and
  3. André de Languissel , provost of the Church of Nimes which, after an old catalog, would have succeeded of Elephant, which is far from being certain.
