Élie Semoun

Élie Semoun , of its true name Elie Semhoun, born the October 16th 1963 with Antony, is a Humoriste, Acteur, writer, and Chansonnier French.

Biography

In 1980, at the 17 years age, the Élie young person already composed two collections of poems and two plays ( the Part Décousue and the Identity Paper ). From 1988, it appears regularly on television in the series Vivement Monday , where it interprets a dispach rider assembled on rollers . Its career of humorist starts in 1990 with its accomplice and friend of childhood Dieudonné, with which it generally writes and interprets sour and daring sketches on topics taboos (racism, misery…) while not hesitating to play over contrasts which oppose it to its partner (origins, color, religion…).

Their first spectacle is held with the Café of the Station in 1991. The duet acquires a certain notoriety in 1992 after several appearances in the emission of Arthur, " The Impossible" Emission; , where the two comic ones are pointed out by their corrosive sketches. Then, successes are connected with the Splendid, the Palais of the Ices and the Casino of Paris. Élie and Dieudonné then forms one of the most popular duet of the Années 1990.

In 1997, the duet separates for different artistic and financial ones. Élie badly supports the radical way in which Dieudonné manages their relationships to the media, and this last admits with difficulty that its accomplice turns to the cinema (and in particular the fact that it left to turn to the USA).

Once only, Élie continues on the way of success with the Classifieds of Élie at the sides of his/her friend and actor Franck Dubosc, ensuring once again the promotion of its sketches thanks to the Arthur organizer in its new emission " Children of Télé". Inspired by true classifieds recorded by quidams in a van put at their disposal, " Classifieds of Élie" immediately make fly thanks to the character of Cyprien, collector to the physique pushing back in the search of a " blonde with strong poitrine".

Élie goes up on the boards with its one man show : Élie and Semoun . It supports Bertrand Delanoë during the municipal program of 2001 with Paris, and Lionel Jospin at the time of the presidential election of 2002. In 2003, it leaves an album French varieties, named quite simply Chansons . At the beginning of 2005, its new spectacle (always Co-writing with Franck Dubosc and Muriel Robin) is called: Élie Semoun Is caught for which?

Élie Semoun maintained, since its separation with Dieudonné, the relations complex and tended with its former accomplice. Initially scrambled, then reconciled, they again moved away at the time of the public polemics caused by the political standpoint from Dieudonné.

Its new album entitled " On Fil" on March 19th, 2007 left. Last volume in date of its classifieds is on sale since the beginning of November 2007. One finds there new high-speed motorboats invited for the occasion like Alexandre Astier or Bérénice Béjo. The sketches are always written by Élie Semoun and Franck Dubosc, but this time assisted of the humorist Manu Payet.

Élie played for the last time its spectacle " Is Elie semoun Caught for which? " June 16th, 2007 in the arenas of Gifted-the-Fountain at the time of the Festival of Anjou.
