Élie Kagan

Elie Kagan (1928, Paris - January 25th 1999) was a Photographe French.

Teenager, it was confronted with the German occupation and the Antisémitisme. With his parents of Polish Jewish origin, it had to hide and always regarded as a surviving . Agitator, it did not hesitate to inveigh and push with end his contradictors. Photographer, it covered all the topicality of independent, and it marketed itself its stereotypes. Those related to especially the political demonstrations, or of instantaneous of streets. It published them in Christian Témoignage , Nouvel Observateur , Libération . It covered in particular the manifestation of October 17th, 1961 organized by the FLN and which was repressed with violence. Its photographic testimony was relentless and it always fought to make the light on this business. Its files and its photographs are preserved at the Bibliothèque of contemporary international documentation (BDIC).
