Élie Ier of Maine
Élie Ier ou' Hélie Ier of Flèche' or of Baugency , dead the July 11th 1110, was count of Maine of 1093 with 1110. It was wire of Jean de Baugency, lord of the Arrow, and Paula of Maine. By his mother, he was grandson of Herbert I {{er}} Wake up-Dog, count of Maine.
In 1093, it bought with his/her cousin Hugues V the Comté of Maine and, supported by the count d' Anjou, continued the fight against the dukes of Normandy. After the departure of Robert Courteheuse in Crusade, his/her brother Guillaume II the Russet-red controlled Normandy and made peace with Hélie.
He married Mathilde, lady of Castle-of-Dormouse, girl of Gervais, lord of Castle-of-Dormouse, and had:
- Erembourg († 1126), married about 1110 with Foulques V Beautiful the, count d' Anjou, who joins together Maine in Anjou definitively.
Widower, it remaria in 1109 with Agnes of Aquitaine, repudiated by Alphonse VI of Castille and girl of Guillaume VIII, count de Poitiers and duke of Aquitaine.
