Éliane Viennot

Éliane Viennot is Historien, professeure at the University of Saint-Etienne and member of the Academic institute of France.

Bookseller in Paris during six years (1978-1984), it becomes aggregate professeure. It devoted many studies to the relations between the women and the capacity, in particular in Marguerite de Valois. She chairs today the International Company for the Study of the Women of the Old Mode and created two collections, “the City of the ladies” and “the School of the kind”, with the Publications of the University of Saint-Etienne, in order to diffuse research on the history of the women and the kind.
