Éléonore TVS of Menezes
Éléonore TVS of Menezes , lady Portuguese of a great beauty, was married with a lord of the country, gift João Lourenço da Cunha (Jean Laurent da Cunha), when the king Ferdinand Ier of Portugal became passionately in love about it.
This prince decided her husband to separate some, married it and queen in proclaimed it 1371, in spite of general dissatisfaction. After the death of Ferdinand (1383), although it had been appointed regent in the absence of male children, it could not support itself: its favorite was massacred in its arms by infant gift Juan, brother of fire king, and itself was locked up by his/her son-in-law, gift Juan, king of Castille, in the Monastère of Tordesillas, close to Valladolid, where she died in 1405.
