Éléanor Marx , more the young girl of Karl Marx, is born with London on January 16th 1855. It is a very intelligent child, educated mainly by his/her father. Marx, which regard his/her daughter as a “friend and a companion” could discuss in German, and French and in English. At the 16 years age (1871), Éléanor is the secretary of its father, accompanying it with the International Conferences on socialism. To 17 years, Éléanor binds to the French journalist Prosper-Olivier Lissagaray. Marx disapproves this relation because of the difference in age (Lissagaray is 34 years old).

To mark its independence, Éléanor leaves the family hearth and finds an use of teacher in Brighton. After one year with Brighton, it joined Lissagaray and the assistance to write its Histoire of the Commune of Paris of 1871 . Although Marx appreciates enough the book to translate it into English, it continues to refuse the relation between his daughter and Lissagaray. In 1876, Éléanor Marx takes part in the countryside for the equality of the women by helping a candidate to gain a seat in London School Board.

In 1880 Karl Marx gives the permission to Éléanor to marry Lissagaray. However, Éléanor doubts from now on its relation and it leaves Lissagaray in January 1882.

With the beginning of the year 1880, Éléanor deals with his/her growing old parents. His/her mother dies in December 1881 and her father in March 1883. Before its death, Karl Marx gave to Éléanor the task to prepare its unfinished manuscripts for their publication. Éléanor must also deal with the English publication of the Capital.

In 1884 Éléanor binds to Edward Aveling. They share the same sights on the policy and the religion and Aveling earns its living by giving conferences on these subjects. As Aveling is already married, Éléanor lives with him in cohabitation.

Éléanor Marx and Edward Aveling join the Social-Democratic Federation of Hyndman. Eleanor becomes a friend close to another member of the SDF, Annie Besant. Éléanor Marx, which has a reputation to be one of the best speakers of England, is elected with the Executive of the SDF.

Éléanor is in dissension with the way in which H. Mr. Hyndman directs the SDF and in December 1884 it joined William Morris to form the Socialist League. Éléanor from now on recommends the “international Revolutionary socialism” and in 1885 helps to organize the International Socialist congress with Paris. Éléanor makes also a lecture tour with Aveling to the the United States.

In 1886 Éléanor Clementina Black meets and starts to work with it in the Women' S Trade Union League. It helps also Annie Besant in her strike successful at manufacturing matches Bryant & May. The following year, Éléanor helps Will Thorne to organize off the National Union Gas Workers & General Laborers and in 1889 it is implied in the strike of the dockers carried out by his friend Ben Tillet.

In the years 1880, Éléanor is interested of close with the theater and considers one moment a career of actress. Like Elizabeth Robins, Éléanor is an enthusiastic admiror of the parts of Henrik Ibsen. Éléanor thinks that the theater can play a big role in the rejection of the traditional sights of the love and the marriage and like means of diffusing socialism.

Éléanor writes several books and articles including The Factory Hell (1885), The Women Question (1886), The Working Class Movements in America (1888), Shelley' S Socialism (1888), and The Working Class Movement in England (1896). She also contributes in many articles for Justice , the political newspaper published by Henry Hyde Champion.

In January 1898, Edward Aveling falls seriously sick, and Éléanor passes from many months to its bedside. Shortly after she discovers that Aveling secretly married with another woman. Incompetent to support the pain of this new treason, Éléanor Marx commits suicide on March 31st 1898, at 43 years.
