Çanakkale

Çanakkale is a town of Turkey, Préfecture of the Province of the same name.

Çanakkale is located on bank of the strait which connects, between Europe and Asia Mineure, the Marmara Sea to the Aegean Sea. In this city took place of the bloody combat during the various battles of Dardanelles. Also one in the neighborhoods of many military burials finds. In full heart of the Historical National park of the Peninsula of Gelibolu, Çanakkale owes its fame with the famous archeological site of Troy like to the vestiges of Assos, located not far.
