Charles Henri de Belgrand count de Vaubois , born in 1748 with Clairvaux and died in 1839, is a general of the French revolution.
Candidate of Artillery in 1768, Capitaine in 1791 one finds it Lieutenant-colonel of a battalion of volunteers of the Drome, the October 11th 1791. It is used for the Armée with the Alps where it is named Brigadier general (August 3rd 1793), then in the Vendée.
It is sent in reinforcement to the Armée with Italy under Bonaparte, in 1796. Placed at the defense of Thirty, it gives up it under the pressure of Davidovitch, and moves back until Rivoli.
It takes part in the forwarding of Egypt, receives the command of the island of Malta and capitulates to the English, the September 3rd 1800. Returned to France, named Senator, and in 1808 Count of Empire, it joins with Louis XVIII which does it Pair France, then with Louis-Philippe in 1830.
