Árbol LED Tulle
El Árbol del Tule (the “Spanish Tulle tree” in ) is a very large tree located in front of the church of Santa María del Tule in the Mexican State of Oaxaca, has approximately 13 km of the town of Oaxaca on the road of Mitla.
This tree is a cypress of Montézuma ( Taxodium mucronatum ), called Ahuehuete in language Nahuatl.
It is 41 meters high and a circumference of 36 meters. Its diameter, measured to 1,5 m height, makes 14,4 meters.
Its precise age is unknown. The estimates go from 1200 to 3000 years.
A local legend Zapotèque claims that it was planted it there approximately 1400 years by Pechocha, a priest of Ehecatl, the god of the wind of the Aztèques; the fact that it is on a crowned site, occupied later by a Catholic church, would tend to reinforce this legend.
The tree is Surnom me it “Arbre of the Life” because of all the representations of animals which are supposed being visible on its knotty trunk.
