Biography

!!! is an American group which was formed during the summer 1995 of the fusion of part of the two groups Black Liquorice and Popesmashers. After a round together successful, these two groups decided to mix the disco music-funk with more aggressive sonorities, and after the integration of the singer NIC Offer coming from the group of hardcore Yah Mos!!! was born.

Based simultaneously with Sacramento in California and New York, it is in 2001 that their first album, éponyme, leave, under the label Gold Standard Laboratories. It was followed in 2003 by very the acclaimed individual one Me and Giuliani Down By the School Yard , a long title combining a tempo House with a base line Funk there , psychedelic guitars, and simple words and idiots who quote the titles of songs of Footloose. They are known for their scenic interpretations sharp, and are generally associated with the movement Dance-punk . Their second album, Louden Up Now leaves in June 2004, at Touch and Go with the the United States and at Warp Records in Europe.

!!! is composed of Mario Andreoni (guitar), Jerry Fuchs (battery), daN Gorman (aérophone/percussion/keyboard), NIC Offer (voice), Tyler Pope (electronic guitar/equipment), John Pugh (/voix percussion), Justin Vandervolgen (low/effect) and Allan Wilson (aérophone/percussion/keyboard). The band also shares part of the members of the group Out Hud (including Tyler Pope and also belonging to LCD Soundsystem) who play of the instrumental music more influenced by the Dub and the experimental Musique.
